Verity Solutions, a Cigna company, is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to build out its medication purchasing platform. You will design and deliver scalable software across reporting, workflow automation, analytics, and predictive features, working with complex pharmacy supply chain data. The role is remote, senior-level, and pays $130,200 to $217,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable full-stack software for the purchasing platform
• Lead technical design and architecture decisions for distributed, data-heavy systems
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to turn requirements into solutions
• Use modern practices and AI-assisted tooling to raise code quality and velocity
• Mentor fellow engineers through design and code reviews

What you'll need

• 10+ years building enterprise-grade software and distributed systems
• Strong backend development skills (Golang strongly preferred)
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS), CI/CD, and automated testing
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to work independently
• Familiarity with healthcare or regulated-industry systems a plus
